Background: Newly qualified as a medic, Jima's first posting was a medical assistant aboard the Venus Dawn. She is originally from Triad in Cassadine system, and just wants to go home.
Background: Darg is a Dralasite from Inner Reach in the Dramune System, and was a passenger aboard the Venus Dawn on his way to visit his Uncle Bulbous, who is living on Pale (Truane's Star). He was captured when pirates raided the ship.
Background: Hradze is a female Yazirian from Hentz in the Araks system on a personal mission to find a religious artefact that is rumoured to exist on one of the frontier worlds near Truane's Star. She was aboard the Venus Dawn when the pirates attacked.
Background: Out of work due to the economic downturn of Truane's Star, out of desperation Ulmo decided to risk his Union card by taking a 'non-listed' contract out of shop with a couple other guys from the crew. Good terms, out of system but quick turn around, and completion bonus. No brainer considering his other option was to twiddle his pods while he fell further into debt. Too bad the job was for pirates and slavers.
Background: Much like Ulmo, Cymon was an unemployed contractor from Truane's Star. The boys were so certain that the little side deal was a good payday. He should have trusted his instincts that something wasn't right. Now just he and Ulmo are left of their original workgang crew. Hell of a way to get seniority but Cymon knows that won't last long.
Background: Issak grew up a poor kid on Gran Quivera with dreams of seeing the frontier. With limited options he managed to finagle a job in the Steward Department onboard the Venus Dawn. Working his way up from dishwasher in the galley, to general messman, housekeeping, Issak finally had the rating and credits to bribe the Chief Steward to become a bartender on the Venus Dawn. Some legs a bartender could make in tips two or three times what most of the bridge snobs earned. Issak always had luck. Bad luck.
Background: Ulysses (Ullie) hails from the planet Yast in the Athor system. He grew up during the Yazirian relocation and had been interested in the idea of terraforming. Now, older and much matured and rich with proper schooling, this was a time of great social cohesion for the Yazirians as well as a time of great scientific learning about new systems, the life of the planet(s), expansion, terraforming, and transportation. He boarded the Venus Dawn with hopes and dreams of doing something good with his ambitions!
Background: Klaktuk had come for a better life and opportunities, but had found herself on the wrong side of a blaster. Now a slave of the pirates, she has begun to question her place in the corporate hierarchy.
Background: A lieutenant in a minor mercantile defense squad she wishes to return home so as to collect on a contract.
Background: A wandering monk, she is searching for experience that only living life can produce.
