The Vasilian Confederation (IPA: /vəˈsɪliɘn/ or /vəˈsɪljɘn/) was the large overseas empire of Vasilio which consisted of many scattered territories in and around the Thalas Sea, including several colonies of substance in Epiros and one in Notios. The Confederation fell apart cordially enough a century ago when the lack of material support from Vasilio grew sufficiently scarce to force its colonies to autonomy, and then finally to full independence. The Vasilian emperor, unable to maintain or hold onto his overseas territories due to his country's weakening influence and imperial overstretch, offered the erstwhile vassals what aid he could to ensure a smooth and peaceful transition to independence.
