The Old Kingdom region of Lokren is the part of the empire comprising the two original provinces - the Apertasis Plain and the Siladent Forest - that were subjugated by the Pallatians in the years after they first arrived in Epiros.

Apart from minor border changes (due to ongoing expansion and conflict with neighbouring nations) and a brief period of secession by a number of western districts during the Red Ribbon Rebellion, the Old Kingdom remained a stable political entity for almost three hundred years, before the Lokrenians under King Tuhoi IV moved to conquer Thesion from the Ardryn Rikchana tribe, thence proclaiming the Empire of Greater Lokren and beginning the Age of Empire.
