Infinity War
During the Infinity War, Thanos was informed by the Black Order that Supergiant had located the planet where the Soul Stone lay. Thanos used the Space Stone to travel to the planet with his daughters Gamora and Nebula in tow. The trio was also followed by Dagger and Dr. Doom, who intended to stop Thanos from taking the stone. As the odd pair confronted Thanos, Gamora and Nebula also turned on their father, and though the four of them fought courageously, Thanos won in the end. Dagger and Dr. Doom were returned to Earth while Thanos and his daughters eventually reached the mountain containing the Soul Stone's resting place. The three were approached by the Red Skull, keeper of the Soul Stone, who informed them of the stone's need for a sacrifice in exchange for one taking its power. After considerable thought, Thanos chose to sacrifice his long-time companion Skreet, a Chaos Mite whom he had grown to care for over the course of their travels. The sacrifice was successful, and in exchange, Thanos took the Soul Stone before departing back to Earth.
