History
Assembled by Tony Stark and Maria Hill after Victor von Doom tipped them off about the impending arrival of Thanos, the task force was assigned the sole job of boarding the Mad Titans' warship and killing him. The plan nearly succeeded, but the betrayal of Magneto complicated matters. After Thanos himself engaged the task force in combat over the skies of Wakanda, the team was swiftly defeated and imprisoned aboard the Sanctuary. Dr. Doom was later released by Dagger in her haste to follow Thanos to Vormir, where the two tried and failed to stop the Mad Titan from gaining the Soul Stone before returning to Earth.

Magneto later turned on Thanos and freed his former comrades from the Sanctuary's prison, along with the Guardians of the Galaxy. The task force members and Guardians rejoined their superhuman allies on the grounds of the Savage Land in the battle known as the Infinity War, but were defeated in the conclusion of that conflict. Dr. Strange, Nick Fury, and the Sentry perished in the Snap, while Dr. Doom, Loki, and Magneto survived.
