The New Avengers were a team of heroes who banded together to deal with the fallout of the Raft prison breakout. Those heroes were Iron Man, Daredevil, Emma Frost, Shadowcat, Sentry, and Spider-Woman. Black Widow joined the team later, having stowed aboard their Quinjet en route to the Savage Land. After fulfilling their primary mission of capturing S.H.I.E.L.D.'s most wanted escapee, Karl Lykos, the team disbanded in the wake of the Superhuman Civil War.
