I'm including an example of how to purchase Language Fluency Skills here as it appears to be more difficult than I realize and is a sticking point. http://tinyurl.com/hkslrv3

Languages for the Frontier.
The two language most spoken out here in THESE wilds are Tieshan and Norn.  But as you might suspect the Frontier is large... but were ever I'm starting the game won't be... as much. These are the languages in the immediate area or at least the most common regional languages - along with how each group is perceived.

Thelitos  - Two countries speak this one language.  But the majority of people who speak this out here on the fringe are from Theturi Legionnaires some retired and gone adventuring - others are just out exploring.
Theturos

Jotun -  Spoken by human half-breeds with orc blood - though they prefer to be called Ogrun. This language was once spoken only by Giants or so the Ogrun claim.
Ogrun

Anvilmar - Language of the Iron dwarves native to this continent. Many humans speak their language, tolerably well, their culture survived the fall in greater amounts than any other BUT they are changed in ways they don't of speak openly. Dwarven ghettos are found in human cities as their traditional homes were all destroyed in the Cataclysm. They are not actually related to the Charduni despite many skin deep similarities. It probably a good way to start a fight - comparing one group to the other.
Iron-dwarves

Kosani - Spoken by another bastard race of humanity this time with fae blood... again best not to call them half elves. The iKKosi have their own culture not dependent on any other race but are possibly more savage than the Ogrun. This may be due to the mysterious absence of any elf in the known world.

Norn - Northern Barbarians [Vikings!] https://emptythrone.obsidianportal.com/wiki_pages/nornheimr
Norn

Chalav - Northern Gypsies called Cherkess Plainsmen speak a language akin to the Zinkalo the Southern Gypsies. The Cherkess have much in common with the Norn who have accepted them into their larger culture.
Norn

Skalo - Southern gypsies.  So genetically different you'd think they were entirely unrelated. [That's because they are. The ONLY thing the Zinkalo have in common with the Cherkess is they are both called Gypsies and their mysterious ways and some general disdain for people who live tied to one place.]  The Zinkalo are travelers and nearly always entertainers with talents ranging far and wide, but most commonly involving storytelling, acting, and music. They travel in large groups known as troupes, roaming the country in wagon trains. They generally trade food and lodging in return for entertainment.
Norn

Ethangari - Arabs, Bedouin, Tribal people. Blessed by wealth, knowledge, and power. Perhaps too educated to be entirely healthy. These people are the paramount sophisticated and civilized people of the world. Although unlike the southern races they still hold many ties to their own age of barbarism.  Without a doubt some of these people cling to the mysteries was of dark ritual magic, as well as have some opinions they like to foist on common men. For example, they are convinced the whole world would be better off if everyone could read. More than likely an Ethangari would run into a burning building to save a book.
Ethangari

Tieshan - (Mongols and Han).  Competing with the Ethangari for most knowledgeable and but slightly less sophisticated the Tieshan are only less like the Ethangari due to that they are not ruled by a passel of divine powers. The Tieshan 'gods' are not beneficial beings, per se, they are actively trying to end this world but are being held in abeyance of its destruction by the Scarlet Empress. The ruler of Tieshan is in near constant negotiations with the Five God Kings for the disposition of all the mortal souls of in her Empire.

Most people who speak Tieshan in the frontier are of two sorts,
Indigenous Tieshan The closer you get to the forbidden 9th Kingdom the general attitude of the common man becomes a salt of the earth domestic/agrarian attitude and professions. Men seek enlightenment and transcendence through a living in the shadow of 'perfection'.  Most believe that only by their constant striving will the scarlet empress's arguments hold greater weight. Because they are seeking enlightenment they think they are inherently better than the...
Inveterate Tieshan The further you move away from any civilized areas the more the common man's attitude becomes one of a pastoral plainsman into an almost tribal nomadic cavalry. Definitely much more warlike, these people are hunters; and though they may turn to farming on occasion they are just as likely to be come conquerors, thieves, and pirates.
Although neither group is a strictly governed race, the inveterate are 'ruled' via a loose confederacy of traditions common to each of the tribes. The inveterate Tieshan see themselves as conquerors and are very tied to what their five senses tell them.  Many do not believe in heaven as discrete souls... they will simply be returned to the primordial essence from which all things come and return, eventually. They, of course, see their way as superior to the 'too submissive' Indigenous Tieshan.
While Both GroupsAre wholly unlike what you'd actually find INSIDE the Forbidden Ninth Kingdom. No one speaks about the Scarlet Empress in less than reverent tones.  Even though, neither she nor any of her noble companions have been seen in more than a dozen  generations.
