Blackwatch Armed Forces, Commanded by the Venerable Blackwatch Six (Blackwatch Council OF-10)
Blackwatch's military is primarily a ground force organization, with a supporting air force and navy wing. Rather than treating Space and the craft that ply it as a navy type of organization, Blackwatch instead treats it as if a break off of the Air force, called Space Force, with Spacemen replacing the term Airmen, but otherwise structured similarly. All spacecraft are called such, and there are no real references to spaceships in Blackwatch records unless dealing with others and their translations.

Rank, Uniforms and Insignia
There are only 7 Ranks in Blackwatch forces, Grades 1-7, with Grades 1-3 Being Enlisted, Grade 4 being Non-commissioned officers, grades 5-7 being officers. Titles such as Captain, Colonel and others are used to allow ease of integration with the rest of the Federation their forces, and with their recent close working relationship with the Federation, to establish a hierarchy with in their own ranks, IE a captain of a company and a Lt. Colonel in charge of a battalion may both be Grade 5 officers, but one usually has displayed greater leadership abilities or tactical acumen and would thus considered a higher rank even though they are both the same Grade.
- Enlisted
- Grade 1 - Basic Recruits and Recent Graduates. Knows enough to get their job done but still needs individual training at their units to integrate into their tactics properly. Usually those under 1 year of service.
- Grade 2 - Knows enough to get their job done in their unit, and is capable of performing whatever missions their unit is capable of. Beginning to start specialized training in whichever position they are best suited for, IE: Heavy Weapons (Launchers, LMGS, Grenadier, etc). Usually has a service of 1-3 years.
- Grade 3 - Specialists. Subject matter experts in their field, capable of training new recruits and bringing them up to speed. Are trained to become Squad, Fireteam and other similar small leadership roles. Usually 3+ years.
- Non-Commissioned Officers
- Grade 4 - Those that have displayed proper leadership are promoted to Grade 4, where they are now official Non-Commissioned officers. They can lead up to an entire company, though most of the time they are leaders of a Platoon or a group of Platoons. Usually 4+ years of experience, though if one displays leadership qualities before the usual 4 years they can be recommended for promotion straight to Grade 4 as early as 2 years of experience.
- Officers
- Grade 5 - Commissioned officer, capable of commanding a company or in rare cases a battalion or in rarer cases a brigade, has to have had experience with in the other Grades or equivalent experience in another military or paramilitary organization. They are still expected to be on the ground, in the fight, and must go through everything their men do alongside them. Generally a specialist or Non-commissioned officer who is promoted due to their leadership capabilities.
- Grade 6 - Commissioned officer, usually seen commanding a battalion, more often a brigade or a division. The last position that actually participates directly in battle, this is generally where officers will spend the rest of their fighting days at.
- Grade 7 - Commissioned officer, generally seen commanding a brigade, division, corp or group. Usually the men promoted to this Grade are battle-hardened individuals that have shown remarkable leadership qualities and strategic acumen. There are those that will turn down a promotion to this level as they are expected at this point to no longer participate in battle and run things strictly from a strategic level.

Facilities
Eastmount Enclave - A forbidding training facilities set in the high alpine forests of Blackwatch territory. Emphasizing self-sufficiency and military traditions lifted from the Exodus originally, Eastmount has become the capital of Blackwatch in recent years, with a large population center springing up around the base, bringing a here-to unfound concentration of Blackwatch civilian's in a single area. (Provides a +5 to raising new units, who benefit from reduced maintenance costs of 2 million off the listed stats as well as +5% to survive stat.)
Blueprints
- You have created a new unit and may raise up to two battalions of Blackwatch Imperial Scouts per budget cycle; they are considered to be equipped with Fisabee technology including Battlesuits, Flechette Weapons and Kelp Voidsuit uniforms, receiving a boost to unsupported and harsh environment missions. Each battalion costs 240 million, with an ongoing 5 million maintenance if not on active combat missions - with stats of 125/60/15 including bonuses. You may not retrain existing units to receive this bonus nor train them for service outside B.L.A.D.E. (though they can be deployed to such missions, their loyalty is to the Blackwatch). You may choose whether they partake of Retroviral Stims as part of their training, for no extra cost
