Origins
"Oh, you know, I was born on the Citadel. Not very inspiring, huh? Wait fort it, it gets better. I have two mothers, one Asari, one human, Niria T'Lyria and Katsumi Kahele. My human mother was a diplomat on one of the first human emissary missions to the Alliance after the Turians tried to wipe out the humans and, well, lost. Less than a year later, I happened. So that makes me the first Asari-human pairing. Neat, huh? That's where my first name comes from; it's a traditional name in both languages of my human mother.
So yeah, I was that baby. The famous one, for about three Earth months. The child that would unite humanity with the Alliance and add another great race to the democracy that brings peace and prosperity to the galaxy and blah blah blah.
I can tell you, nobody cared about me when I didn't grow up in a year, turn into some kind of super-diplomat, and remake the universe according to their image. Not my image, theirs.
My human mother...well, she died. Grew old and died, four Earth years ago. She was fifty-seven Earth years old. I haven't aged a day since I turned twenty. That's how we Asari are. I had to learn the hard way that I am indeed Asari. There isn't a drop of human blood in my body. My human mother, my human family, what did they really mean to my genetic heritage? Nothing of consequence. It was a terrible thing. I must have cried for a month straight.
I couldn't stand it, watching my family wither around me. My nieces and grand-nieces were starting to get wrinkles. It was awful. I knew they would all die and leave me. My Asari mother, I can't help but think of her as my real mother, she was a naval pilot and captain before she took leave to have and raise me. So, I took to the stars, like she had, though I was rather more roguish. The military life never seemed like the one for me.

History
"I've got good looks, charisma, my health, and more stubbornness than your typical Krogan. So naturally, I had to be a vagabond, loveable rascal, troublemaker, and all kinds of independent and awesome. I've taken my licks, sure, but giving up just isn't my style.
I love to go new places, meet new people, and sometimes take their stuff. I believe this is what is called 'being a pirate' by the unwashed masses, but I prefer 'preemptive astronautical salvage expert.'
I don't like being ruled, and I don't try to rule other people. That counts for something. It's why I have a crew, and it's why they follow me. They do what I say because they respect me, because they know I'm right more often than not, and because they know that I would never leave any of them behind.
The ship, well, she's beautiful, isn't she? The Siren is a real prize. I won her from Helena van Orsten in a card game. Several card games, actually, along with quite a bit of money. And yes, she was very drunk and very horny. Yes, she is quite pretty, despite the scar on her left cheek. Yes we had sex. I still won it fair and square."
Motivations
"I have to admit that I care what people think about me. I want to be liked. I want to be loved. Doesn't everyone?
But friendship, real friendship, the kind that sticks with you through the hard times, the kind that stands by you when slugs are whizzing around your heads, that's rare. That's valuable. More valuable than just about anything. That's the kind of thing I would kill for. The kind of thing I would die for.
There are no greater virtues than honor and loyalty. No other character traits matter without them. Everything else is hot air.
That serious stuff aside, I do my best to live life to the fullest and never get too down. I have numerous days ahead of me, millions if I play my cards right, but each one of them is precious. No matter how many more days I have, this one, this day, will never come again. I do my best to cherish it."

Embrace Eternity: When an Asari has time and physical intimacy with someone, roll +Hot. On a 10+, hold 3. On a 7-9, hold 1. While you’re psychically melded, spend your hold to ask their player (or the GM if an NPC) questions, 1 for 1:
- What was your character’s lowest or highest moment?
- For what does your character crave forgiveness, and of whom?
- What are your character’s secret pains or joys?
- What does your character hold closest to his heart?
The Asari may also spend hold to give the other party the same information. If the intimacy was mutual, both parties gain +1Hx with the other (if PCs). If the Asari inflicted unwilling intimacy, the other party takes 1-harm (ap, ignores shields/barriers)
Class Move: Dominate: When you Dominate a biological NPC, roll +Will. On a 10+, hold 3, on a 7-9, hold 2. At any time, spend your hold 1 for 1 to:
- Make them fight on your behalf. If in battle, this lasts for 1 tick.
- Make them defend you. They take all harm from an attack meant for you.
- Make them die. They take 1 harm per hold spent (ap, ignore shields/barriers)
Class Move: Shockwave: You may use Shockwave as if it were a weapon that does (3-harm close implanted messy). When you inflict harm using Shockwave as a result of another move, choose 1:
- Add (s)-harm
- Hit one additional character of your choice
- You come under only incidental damage for one tick, even beyond 9:00
Personal Move: Squad Leader: 2-harm gang medium 1-armor 4-barrier vulnerable: reprisals
When your squad fights for you, roll +Hard. On a 10+, hold 3. On a 7-9, hold 1. Over the course of the fight, spend your hold 1 for 1 to make your squad:
- Make a hard advance
- Stand strong against a hard advance
- Make an organized retreat
- Show mercy to their defeated enemies
- Fight and die to the last
On a miss, your orders get misunderstood or garbled or otherwise confused.
For advancement, you may cross off any unused advance to instead add a new choice or remove an existing choice.
