Origin:
"Oh hi! Yes, I was born on earth. Yeah yeah, I’m one of billions. Not much to tell there. I lived a normal life with two parents and a brother and a sister and all that, you know? Went to some somewhat fancy alliance school for biotically gifted. It was a blast, if you know what I mean. No seriously it was alright, I didn’t do much. No extracurricular activities. Would have loved to be a part of the cheering team but apparently biotics aren’t welcome. It’s OK, I’ve gotten used to it. Really. Stop looking at me like I’m lying, I’m over it I tell you. Promise... those bitches.
When the reapers came though. Wow. I mean, really, wow. At first, before the reports where public I just thought I was nervous over school. You see, I had these horrible nightmares. I know, you think a nightmare for me is about me using the wrong nail polish or whatever. No. A thousand times no. The screaming, the people melting, the… the huge insect like ships barrelling down to earth to burn every inch of it. I was so afraid to go to bed I cried myself to sleep for three months straight. I didn’t get a whole lot of sleep done. Maybe an hour a night. Things started to get… wow.. freaky. I saw stuff from the nightmares in real life when I was awake. Or I dunno. ‘Awake’ I suppose.
That’s when I decided I had to leave earth. Get out before they got in. Sheesh. And, you know? I got out. It was the easiest thing I ever done. I’m ashamed I didn’t do it sooner. Hoped to get out and find some peace and quiet. Didn’t really work out though.."
History:
"Yeah so I drifted through space for a while. Did odd jobs to stay alive but mostly I was just searching for a place to stay. Permanently. Preferably with a beach and some trees. Always liked the sea.
Yeah yeah I know what you’re thinking. Jade you’re such a doll, who were watching out for you? Keeping you alive? I’ll tell you. Me. I was watching out for me. One man after the other came and tried to take me as his property. You know what I did then? I did everything I could to stay alive. Im not proud of it. No sir. I can still hear their screams when they were sucked into the singularity or I shot them in the balls with my pistol. I remember every second of every one. Fortunately I don’t have nightmares about it. Maybe I used all the nightmares back on earth."
Motivations:
"I-… I just want to get my own place. Somewhere nice and quiet. Find a decent someone and some good friends. Never leave. Problem is, all that costs money. A lot of money. So I got in on this little gig. Seems good enough. I’m not overly trusting of people nowadays though. It’ll take some time before I know what they want. Really want."

Species Move: New kids on the block -Humans are new to the galactic stage and need to be constantly making friends and connections lest the other species turn on them. Grant +2 instead of +1 whenever you Aid Another.
In the Thick of Things: At the beginning of the session, roll +Will. On a 10+, hold 2. On a 7-9, hold 1. At any time, either you or the GM can spend your hold to have you show up in any scene, with the proper tools and knowledge. On a miss, the GM holds 1, and can spend it to have you already be there, but somehow pinned, caught or trapped.
Class Move: Singularity:
When you create a mass effect field on or near your enemy, roll +Cool. On a 10+, hold 3. On a 7-9, hold 2. On a miss, you come under concentrated fire now. (If it’s before 9:00, now it’s 9:00). Advanced Singularity: On a 12+, 4 hold
Spend your hold, 1 for 1 to choose an option below.
- Pull: choose a GM character. You pull them towards you (decreasing the range by one step), out of cover and you create an opportunity that you may follow through on
- Lift: choose a GM character. You lift them into the air. While aloft, enemies slowly float helplessly upwards for one tick, you and your allies take +1 forward against them.
- Slam: choose a GM character. You lift them into the air and slam them back to the ground with great force. For every hold you spend (+1-harm forceful).
Class Move: Reave: When you reach out with your biotics to attack a target's nervous system, roll +Hard. On a 10+, hold 3. On a 7-9, hold 2.
Use your hold one for one to;
- Inflict 1-harm (ap ignore shields/barriers)
- Heal 1-harm on yourself
- Permanently destroy 1-armor and 1-barrier
Personal Move: Break and Enter - You are talented at gaining access to places you have no business being. When you attempt to enter or exit such a place, roll +Cool. On a 10+, choose 3. On a 7-9, choose 2:
- You get where you wanted to be
- You remain undetected while getting there.
- You leave no trace of ever having been there
- You stumble across something useful or interesting along the way.
Custom Move: Fall Back – when you’re being attacked, you may roll +Sharp. On a 10+, choose 2. On a 7 to 9, choose 1:
- You withdraw to the nearest place with full cover, take +1 to Stay the Heck Down
- Your allies take +1 Forward to Stay the Heck Down, if they fall back to the nearest place with full cover
- You avoid incoming fire for the moment.
On a miss, choose 1 anyway but take -1 Forward.
