Dwarf - Hill
Appearance
The Dwarfs of the Hills are short, and border on rotundity. They have dark tan or brown skin, green or brown eyes and either fair or reddish hair.
Outlook - Fourth Age
Hill Dwarfs are lively with a great sense of humour, and a love of finely wrought items, most particularly gems and jewellery. They live in rolling, rocky well-wooded hills. Bold and confident, they get on well with everyone, in no small part due to their friendliness, though they do have a tendency towards brashness and can often be over-familiar.
Outlook - Fifth Age (Dark Gods Ascendant)
Through in many good humour has given way to cynicism, the Dwarfs of the hills have never despaired, stoically bearing the jibes and curses of the conquerors of Urthe. Those that are forced from their caves have gravitated towards the larger towns and cities, where they make a living as best they can. Though mocked and belittled, they survive, lamenting their mountain brethren's hard-headed refusal to bend with the winds of change.
Outlook - Sixth Age (Aftermath)
After centuries of the Dark Gods rule, there are few Hill Dwarves that now live in their traditional abodes, and likewise the fulfillment of the prophecy and the defeat of the dark forces that have ruled them for so long has seen their stoicism turn to smugness and self-interest. Most now resent their kinfolk that hid for so long in their mountain halls for doing naught during that terrible time.

Dwarf - Mountain
Appearance
Mountain Dwarfs are short, stocky, fellows with ruddy cheeks, dark eyes and dark hair, and usually sport a well-groomed beard and moustache.
Outlook - Fourth Age
Mountain Dwarfs are rather quiet and reticent, but as solid and dependable as the rock from which they carve their homes. They are strong and brave, and have great liking for strong drink. Their chief love, however, is precious metal, especially gold. Even so, no Mountain Dwarf will ever take anything they have not earned.
Outlook - Fifth Age (Dark Gods Ascendant)
The mountain Dwarfs have delved ever deeper into their mountains, shunning the world outside, though occasionally a Dwarf will venture forth, driven by anger to strike back. They despise their cousins for their capitulation.
Outlook - Sixth Age (Aftermath)
After so many centuries hidden away deep within their mountains, the Mountain Dwarfs remain wary of all outsiders, struggling to distinguish friend from foe, even those they once called cousins.
Game Notes
Mountain Dwarfs have all the Dwarven racial traits from the Player's Handbook.
