Brathu Sarff

The half-elf known as Brathu Sarff clearly likes to keep his secrets. Thin near to the point of gauntness, he is nonetheless handsome in a cold, detached way. He stands just over six feet tall, straight-backed and confident- though he dresses like a beggar, despite the obvious quality of his armour and weapons, and everything he owns shows signs of age. Even the iron circlet looks corroded.

Though he (and almost everything he owns) appears relatively frail, Brathu is stronger than he looks and possesses a toughness that seems to be more based off sheer willpower rather than nature. He moves with a slow, practised, serpentine grace that sometimes explodes into a feverish burst of speed.

WARNING: SPOILERS BEYOND THIS POINT

While he volunteers little about his past, and his name is hardly recognised, Brathu has been active in Talingarde for a long time. Since the death of the Victor's first son, discontent and rebellion have plagued the Western edge of Talingarde proper. Months will go by with little sign of ill-feeling or revolt, only for a noble house to suddenly make a bid for independence or a discontented peasant rabble to take up arms and riot. To the crown, its agents and the Mitran Church, there is no link (save perhaps the malignant presence of the Caer Bryr), but behind each and every revolt stands the same raven-cloaked advisor.
