Rail Bridge South of Gdansk
A fair distance south of Gdansk, and east of Orunia, lies the Rail Bridge South of Gdansk, which is a span of rail tracks going over the Motlawa river. Given the prevalence of rivers in the area, this bridge represents a significant tactical advantage to whatever party holds it. As a result, the Mad Dogs have actually fought at this location twice over the course of the adventure. The first time happened on the return from Sobieszewo Island after the first raid to Hel Peninsula - it was at this time that Robert Mitchell stepped on a mine and was critically injured. The second foray to the bridge happened when the Mad Dogs took a mission for the Osprey Brigade to do a deep patrol behind PACT lines. During this second patrol, the Mad Dogs fought off 12 Soviet soldiers, but lost Sabine Riedel.

It should be noted that at the rail bridge location there exists an old pump house which has been severely battered on the south side of the bridge, as well as a series of destroyed AA gun emplacements on the northern side of the river. It is also known that there are mines in the area.
