Elblag University
In Game Description of Elblag University
By noon the column had rolled to a stop next at the ElblÄ…ska University of Humanities and Economics, putting you still in the south of the city. The further north you go from here the narrower the roads will become, hemmed in at the sides by rubble, more and more until there simply is no more road. Still, even with an estimated 300kt nuclear blast having toppled most of Elblag, it had left a fair about of the city accessible for salvaging. The campus seems like a decent spot to lay up for the day and set up a base camp - though there are other options.

The campus sits at the northern end of a small military airfield. The unpaved runway is cratered, with the open field dotted with unrecognizable models of burned out helicopters. There aren't many buildings, such as hangers, and all are in very bad condition. There are also old remains of tents and trailers, as well earthen bunkers. Detached and off to one side of the airfield look to be some military buildings of varying structural integrity. Clustered around them are abandoned construction vehicles, dump trucks and the like.

To the immediate north and west is a residential zone. Most buildings are drab looking concrete complexes, with only minimal damage. Based on what you learned when you first drove through here over a week ago, there are some industrial and commercial properties beyond this area to the west. The closer you get to the river in that direction puts you nearer the guarded bridge though. Further north still is the wide, multi-track railroad which you used as an expressway. You saw some massive buildings there on the far side of the tracks, but little detail could be ascertained.
