This is the information available surrounding Vincent Wright's A-Team - the group he first sent to Silesia in search of the Black Madonna.
Field Acquired Intelligence & Rumors:

1. The Missing Patrol

Prior to recruiting the Mad Dogs to undertake his mission to secure the Black Madonna, Wright sent his own in house operatives to Silesia. Contact with them was lost over a week ago and their current location and status is unknown.

2. The KGB/Spetsnaz Ambush

At 0230, September 1st, a Soviet Spetsnaz unit working for the KGB was ambushed and massacred outside of Częstochowa on the E75 highway from Lodz. They were believed to be an advance party for a larger force being sent in to recover the Black Madonna. A radio broadcast was intercepted by a British listening station regarding this incident and implicated the French in the covert operation.

3. French Presence Confirmed

On September 5th, French forces were confirmed to be operating in Częstochowa. Initial estimates put their numbers at approximately 10, with access to a BTR-70, Zil-131, and UAZ-469. Additional unidentified personal have been observed in the vicinity of the Jasna Góra Monastery but their relation to the French is at this point unknown.

4. Silesian Army

Headquartered in Raciborz with a known garrison at Pyskowice.
