Kalina was first encountered along with her fellow Polish partisan, Andrzej, during the mission to recover fuel from the Fuel Depot. They were caught eyeing The Mad Dogs when the unit was attempting to cross the river at Kepki. After learning that The Mad Dogs were not a part of PACT forces, they ended up helping the team in the ensuing battle for the Kepki bridge. During the battle, the older Andrzej was wounded badly, and the pair of Polish partisans connected the Mad Dogs with the leader of the Polish Partisans, Fredyryk Burant. As it turns out, Kalina is actually Fredyryk Burant's wife.
