Jerzy was hanging out with Eikki Termonen, when he and the former Mad Dog entered the Five Star tavern. Upon seeing Eikki, Varis Babicevs stood up and started shooting at the pair, wounding Eikki and horribly disfiguring Jerzy's face. Later after a thorough investigation took place, it was determined that Jerzy had been working with Eikki and likely Hauptmann Schweppenburg as well. Jerzy turned over information about Eikki's whereabouts, which eventually led to the Finnish sniper's apartment, and Eikki's corresponding capture.
