International Brigade Post Office HQ
The International Brigade have made their headquarters at the Gdansk Post Office. The building has an historic background, being one of the first battleground's of Poland's entry the Second World War. Back then, less than 60 militiamen barricaded themselves and held off an attack for fifteen hours by a superior force. Of all the buildings still standing in Gdansk, it made sense that someone today would want to make use of it. Though not a fortress by any means, it is nevertheless solid and defensible. It housed food and humanitarian supplies throughout much of the current war, then when those stocks ran out, it changed hands several times between rival groups. Ultimately, it came under control of the city's foreign defenders, who have since transformed it with an impressive amount of concertina wire, sandbags, heaps of rubble, and a surrounding network of anti-vehicle obstacles. With tightly restricted access, a minimal force could provide decent security for the entire complex, enabling more men to be put into the field. The Mad Dogs have noted the headquarters has some electrical power, with enough to spare for at least one blinding search light. The central hall, where mail was once processed has been stripped and transformed into an indoor parade square.
Along with the Brigade HQ staff and various support detachments, Waterloo Company is currently billeted at the Post Office as well.
