You found Sark trapped in a ring of fire. When asked how he got there, he responded: "Tarimar, Tarimar, TARIMAR!" He has lost a bit of sanity since being trapped for countless years in a ring of fire with only a nonstop supply of healing Earthsilver keeping him alive.

The gnome says, "Sark. My name is Sark. Sark Gurlek. Where is Jark? Where is he? Is Tarimar here? How long have I been here?"

"Jark is my...brother. We translate...Xren Codex and Allevian...Annals." His speech is odd, as though he is waiting for someone else to fill in the blanks. "We are psychically...connected. Tarimar left me...and took him. Many years...have passed...I think."

Sometimes Sark speaks only every other word, since his psychic connection to his brother was what gave them prescience, they spoke each other's sentences, and that symbiotic bond has been broken.
