Pivotal Event
A pivotal event is a scene that is pivotal to the main plot the GM is running or pivotal to a character's personal development plot such as something that reveals a dark secret or fulfills a long term aspiration they've been striving for or that causes a paradigm shift or development in the character. For mortal characters, any scene where a character's life is legitimately endangered and they legitimately come close to death, automatically becomes a pivotal event.
