Focus Points

You have a maximum number of focus points equal to: (5 + Wisdom) x level.

You also get a bonus amount of hit points based on creature type (minimum of 1 hp): mindless (-10), beast (+0), humanoid (+10), lesser spirit (+20), greater spirit (+40), celestial (+80), divinity (+160). Adjusting your type temporarily does not affect your focus points.

USING FOCUS POINTS
Every time you use a power, you use an amount of focus points equal to the power's tier. If you don't have enough, you can't activate the power as you are too confused, drained, fatigued, or strained to do so. If you run out of focus points, your character is mentally fatigued, and may fall unconscious.

You reduce your maximum focus points by the cumulative tier of all traits you have since they are always active and you don't have to spend focus to use them.

Recovery
A short rest restores a number of focus points equal to your level. A long rest restores all focus points. Some special abilities can restore focus points at the cost of hit points and/or surges.

VIGOR
Also known as "temporary focus points", vigor is a pool of points that function as focus points. You lose vigor before losing any focus points. If you get shielding from multiple sources or instances, only the highest single one applies. Vigor lasts only up to 1 minute before disappearing, unless noted otherwise by the effect providing them.
