25th Day of Drawing 1015

What a night! After a whole night of guard duty Master Shrub needed aid gathering herbs and mushrooms. It was a fair day and Master Shrub has always been so kind to ma so I was soon ready to go. Old Master Otis's broom barely had a twig to it so I also promised to gather birch, heath and broom to make a new broom.

All was well as I gathered the twigs and thoughts of bed were already on my mind when I spied goblins in the bushes. The pair of cowardly creatures were soon scared away and Master Nottal Shrub the kindly dwarf that he is showed me how to gather the herb Elf Leg, a green herb with crooked knee like bends. Master Shrubs alchemy is fascinating but lessons were cut short by the return of the goblins, this time many more of them.

It took much fighting to shoo them away and to my shame Master Shrub was hurt. Once the battle was over we quickly return to Coin and reported the goblins to the militia. The goblins all had black war paint on their faces  and pieces of bone piercing their left ear lobes. I pray to all the gods that Coin is safe and that this is not the beginnings of troubles. Goblins are such cruel and nasty creatures.
