Fourth Age - Old Urthe: There and Back Again

Activating Seeker's Orb, the party were able to escape the clutches of Arawn, the Lord of the Dead, using the device to take themselves back to Brother Inurien's Hall of Doors.

Upon their return, they discovered that Gelen, the lost soul they had rescued, had become a babe in arms, but this was the least of their worries, as the Orb had brought them back to a point in time before Inurien knew them, and they found themselves surrounded by his servants, armed with rods of power. Using a strange device, one of the servants, a Half-Orc by the unlikely name of Harry, discovered that both Saffaris and Alasha'an were struggling to overcome Possession, and that Melzakre was a 'Dragon-Host'. It was only when the party told of their quest for the Philosopher's Stone that the Inurien of that past time decided to trust them and to offer his help, healing their wounds ... though naught could be done for Nanoc save a dignified burial.

And then Inurien told them about the War with No Beginning and No End, the struggle against the Pantathians, worshippers of the Great Serpent, who sought to destroy or enslave all that they might possess the Urthe utterly.

Bidding the party to prepare themselves for the conflict to come, Inurien instructed Seeker, the silent being who was the Orb itself, to take the party to find the Stone ...

With but a gesture from the cruelly smiling Seeker, the party found themselves in a dark corridor which Slayer and Calanor identified as part of the Mayoral Palace in Kalibar. Before they had time to explore further, they encountered a guard, clutching the Stone, a guard that proved to be no guard at all, but a Snakeman in disguise ! Battling the creature's spells and flashing sword, the party triumphed, gaining the Stone.

Whisked back to Inurien's Hall of Doors and their own time, by Seeker, the party were greeted warmly by the present day Inurien, who caused his magical Gardens to appear close by Kalibar, that the party might quickly return the Stone to its rightful home.

Finding themselves in the woods, not far from the city, the party counter Neel, a warrior who tagged along with them for a time, and Old Simon, a mysterious fellow who bade his farewells as they left the woods for the road that would take them to Kalibar.
