The World Serpent, Ouroboros

Worshipped by Lizardmen and the Yuan-Ti, the Great Serpent strove to overcome the forces of both Good and Evil by tampering with Time itself, but guided by a vision of what was to be, a few brave heroes travelled back and prevented His ascension, and He was slain in battle by Rhiannon.
Followers
His followers withdrew after His defeat, but now rejoice at His return.
Dark Gods Ascendant
His essence bound, His powers stolen, the Great Serpent abided the dark years of the Fifth Age until a few brave mortals, guided by prophecy, found His prison and freed Him. Though His powers are much reduced, so too is Rhiannon, the Pale Mistress, weakened by His return.
