Alternate Characters
Sometimes, players for some reason have two or more characters that they play.  ie.  For a traveling npc companion, these 'alternate' characters who are not the 'main' focus of the players roleplaying experience, use the slower 'alt experience' advancement.

These characters have one free trait, instead of two.
These characters have hit points, 2/3 max for levels 1 and 2, and 1/2 max for levels 3 and 4.

Base Attack Bonus

Fractional BAB will be tracked.  Add up the BAB from all of the character's classses and round fraction down.

When the BAB rating gets to +6, the character gets a second attack per core rules.

Save Throws

A 'good' save throw will add + 1/2 per level
A 'poor' save throw will add + 1/3 per level

The Character may select one of their character classes for a level one 'bonus'.
Any save throw rated as 'good' gain an additional +2 to the save throw.

Earned Level Bonus presumes that most characters are expected to start at level one.

An earned level bonus is gained, when the character advances a level from campaign experience.

Optional fast track rule.
When a character is first generated, the player may decide to 'fast track' the character's experience.  For each level they fast track, the character loses two characters points to spend on abilities as well as the opportunity to 'Earned Level Bonus' for advancing the character through campaign game play.  In return, the character starts with an extra level, and an extra 400gp to be spent on Magical or Masterwork equipment.

Optional apprentice/rookie rule.
When a character is first generated, the player may decide to make them a 'apprentice/rookie', reducing the character's level by one to be a 'rookie'.  If the starting character level is one, the character is an 'apprentice', and level 1/2 rules are used to generate the Apprentice Character.
