After their help with the wight attack, Prince Oargev tasked the party with investigating reports of a plague in the mining village of Redcreek. In addition, the halfling healer they rescued earlier, Tharo, approached the party with a request to deliver some goods to his niece Amyn, who was working there at the time.

When they arrived however, the five discovered that Amyn had disappeared at the height of the plague epidemic, and that a pair of Host clerics, Hansa & Greta, had set up shop in her place. The pair had managed to contain the plague through a series of mysterious treatments, and were highly antagonistic to the party. In the process of their investigations, the Dot and Dereen began receiving strange dreams at night. Their efforts eventually led them to investigate an abandoned mine that had been sealed off years ago due to structural instabilities. Inside, they discovered that Hansa and Greta were in fact, Karranthi necromancers who had been using the plague as a cover to perform experiments on the townsfolk, breeding the horrifying skinkites in the process.

After destroying the flock of skinkites inside the mines, the five ventured deeper in, where they found the mutilated corpse of Amyn d'Jorasco, her skin torn off by skinkites. Almost immediately, her tortured spirit attacked them, and the five were forced to defend themselves. After temporarily putting her spirit to rest, the group confronted the two clerics inside their church, where they were revealed to have been building a small army of undead. After a heated battle and chase through the forest, Hansa and Greta were subdued and arrested. Through the efforts of Dot, it was revealed that the two were in contact with a mysterious 'Weaver', a shadowy figure who supplied them with resources and undead and had even passed through the area just weeks before. After helping rebuild the church and spirits of the people despite the horrific events that had happened, the party turned over the body of Amyn to a grieving Tharo, and both clerics to the Borderguard for trial.
