The Village Hidden by Tree Leaves is the hidden village of the Land of Fire and was founded by Senju Hashirama and Uchiha Madara. As the village of one of the Six Great Shinobi Countries, Konohagakure has a Kage as its leader known as the Hokage, who resides in the Hokage Residence. On a mountain overlooking the village from the north exists the Hokage Monument which has the faces of all those who have taken the office of Hokage engraved on it.

Konoha is currently under the leadership of the 13th Hokage Kimura Yoshirou.

The three most eminent clans in the village remain the Senju, Uchiha, and Hyuuga. The Uzumaki also holds a position of respect.
