The Former High Council of Daria:

The High Council was disbanded by King Kerden the First.  The monarchy and feudal system replaced this government which included the following Lords and Ladies of Daria

Daria used to be a true kingdom 250 years ago when the last king died.  A new heir wasn't selected, so leadership fell onto the lords and ladies of the land.  This temporary government is still in effect today, such that Daria is now ruled by the High Council.

The High Council used to consist of 11 members, but things changed greatly during the war with the Red Hand.

The High Council of Daria:

Dennovar:
1) High Councilor Nindel Thorn and leader of Merchant's Council, male human.
2) Lady Yisel Bristeir, female human, ruler of Dennovar
3) Prelate Barila Harrask, female human cleric of St. Cuthbert, head of the Temple Council

Brindol:
4) Lord Kerden Jarmaath of Brindol, male human fighter
5) Lady Verrasa Kaal, leader of mercantile House Kaal, female human

Former Council Members:

Lady Celiira Nesten, a female human ranger from Talar.  A high spirited young woman, who lately returned home to take up her father's title on old Lord Nesten's death.  Her impulsive ideas are tempered by an old and conservative town council, whose members grew accustomed to running things during the old lord's long decline.  Her seat on the High Council has been absolved, to everyone's agreement.  With the imminent destruction of Talar, the council and the position is no more.

Lord Telmar Thistledown, male elf from Winterwood.  Withdrew from the High Council during the war with the Red Hand.  The Winterwood has become extremely isolated and its inhabitants have no interest in Daria.

Lord Othrek Hammerfist, male dwarf and Clanlord of the Hammerfist Holds.  Withdrew from the High Council during the war with the Red Hand.  He has maintained strong diplomatic ties with Daria.  Commands the Hammer Guard.

Lord Calcitro Burrow, male halfling, mayor of Beluir.  Withdrew from the High Council during the war with the Red Hand.  He has maintained strong diplomatic ties with Daria.  Commands the The Outriders.

National Defense of Daria:

- The Dennovar Blades:  The army of Dennovar, funded by the Merchant Council, under command of High Councillor Nindel Thorn.

- The Lion Guard:  The army of Brindol, led by Lord Jarmaath.
