Raciborz
The city itself is rather small, with a prewar population of roughly 50,000 - not even 1/7th the size of Gdansk. Another noticeable difference between the two cities are their general conditions. While the Baltic city is shattered from both conventional fighting and nuclear devastation, Raciborz appears to have escaped such violence. Some of the industrial areas you drive past have been bombed out, but those seem to be the exception. In many places there are even glass windows, which is something of a rarity in Poland these days. Another feature that strikes you is the dark grey smoke that hangs over the city. A similar pallor lingered over Gdansk during the siege, but here in Raciborz it is the product of coal fires, not artillery fire and burning buildings. One might even say that Raciborz is a clean city, were it not for the gritty soot that the buildings look to be covered in. It isn't even winter time, yet coal seems to be in enough abundance to warrant its use by the inhabitants.

It was in Raciborz that the Mad Dogs worked for, and later helped usurp, the Markgraf of Silesia.
