Klobuck
In Game description of Klobuck:
Except for passing through a long stretch of charred homes lining sides of a highway that radiates out from Klobuck, the first half of your move was largely confined to untended fields. The ruins were devoid of any rusting military vehicles or other signs of combat, suggesting that in all likelihood, they'd been razed during a scorched earth policy by one side or the other. Then after an hour's march you hit a heavily potholed road that according to your map, leads directly into Czestochowa, now only ten kilometers away at most. A small handful of German vehicles, mostly trucks and self propelled artillery pieces that have made the road their final resting place, are all pointing to the southeast in a seemingly perpetual advance on the city.

With an hour until sun up, the Mad Dogs started to pass straight through the remains of small villages agricultural communes. There are enough of them scattered across the landscape, naturally more so the closer you get to Czestochowa, that it became impractical to go around them all. Then shortly before first light, you halted near a cluster of decaying farm buildings that were clearly too damaged to be lived in, but suitable to hole up and out of the sight for the day. Ortega took his group forward to clear it, Fox led his team in a circuit to scout out the surroundings. Even if dawn wasn't fast approaching, it was clear that tonight's long trek had sapped much of the life out of some of the party members not accustomed to forced marches with heavy packs.

There are two buildings worth using for shelter, a typical polish country home and a tractor large shed. The attic and upper levels of the house have been burned away in a failed attempt to bring it to the ground, but the ground floor is still nearly as intact as it was when it was abandoned. Broken glass covers the floor near the windows, now weather beaten and covered in mold, and the panty looks raided by looters, but everything else looks to be in decent shape. The shed still contains a large yellow piece of farming machinery, but there is more than enough room to lay out your packs and lie on the dirty floor. Although it's been untouched by fire, it looks like someone drove a tracked vehicle straight through one of the corners and out the other side. It looks structurally sound though.

Outside, the surrounding buildings are in terrible shape and none are worthy of shelter. There is no evidence of recent human activity at all. The scouts do discover their first minefield though. Fortunately this one has been clearly marked, and by German engineers from the looks of the signs staked into the ground. Then satisfied that the perimeter is safe, the group makes their way back to the others.
