Born to a Turkish textile magnate, she appears to have fallen out with the family and, subsequently, made her own fortune as a "business advisor" to both fortune 500 companies and foreign governments. It appears that her entire business is a front for the illegal arms trade and Idris has gained a reputation as "Jihadist Santa Clause."
She appeared on the US intelligence radar in 2017 when she brokered a deal between ISIS members and a group of Ukrainian extremists for the acquisition of .50 caliber depleted uranium shells, which ISIS then used against hardened military targets in Syria and Iraq.
