Innskeep

Innskeep is the largest city on the edge of the empire proper, located in the eastern foothills of the Dragon Peaks. It is the final stop on the Stoneridge Rail system that passes from Khem Kuldohr through the Principality and the empire. Here the massive train is maintained by a small garrison of Dwarven engineers who not only perform maintenance and make repairs, but is also rotated to set it on its return journey. As a result, Innskeep has progressed significantly in the industrial sector. A few years ago a deep, rich vein of Coal was discovered in the nearby mountains and the city hired the Dwarves to build and run a large mine, some of which is used to supply the train, and the rest is shipped East, to Portsmouth.
