Pediada (IPA: /pəˈdaɪədə/) is an expansive region of grassy steppeland that covers many thousands of square miles in north-western Epiros. A number of old kingdoms (ie, predating Anatian colonisation) exist in Pediada, as well as numerous tribes of indigenous Epirians, some of them extremely numerous. A single former Anatian colony, Afasisti, occupies parts of a frozen archipelago in the far north of the region.
