Lokrenian reckoning is the predominant form of timekeeping used for the calendar of Lokren. The Lokrenian year consists of twelve months, each consisting of precisely 30 days, in keeping with the regular movement of the moon in relation to the sun.

The moon orbits the planet exactly 12 times in the 360-day year, so the lunar and solar calendars align and the months are regular lengths with lunar phases occurring on the same day every month. The last day of each month is the new moon, while the full moon occurs on the night of the 15th. Both of these events are always holy days in Lokren, and all temples hold either a low or high mass on the 15th and the 30th, in addition to whatever other temple-specific holy days they may celebrate throughout each month. Sometimes a temple's feast days might coincide with these holy days, leading to a much larger celebration than most feast days, which may last deep into the night for full-moon feasts.

Eight of the months of the Lokrenian reckoning are named for the eight gods of the Okterians, while the others are named for old terms referring to seasonal events:
