Sige Amalaes, 3rd earl of Therazon (IPA: /ˈsiːgə ˌæməˈleɪəs/), was the most recent Lord of Therazon and ruler of the Forest of Piges earldom. Since the Red Mist, the earl has been missing, along with most of the population of Therazon. He is presumed to be dead along with his family and most of the population of Piges.

Earl Sige's family was responsible for the founding of the original colonies within the Forest of Piges, and the construction of their large ancestral castle at Therazon after a number of productive stone quarries were opened in the Piges Hills. Good-quality building stone was quarried in such amounts that a steady series of caravans bore the material in great volume back to neighbouring Thesion, allowing speedy development and securing of that province, thanks to a number of stone forts that could now be built there in a relatively short time.

The resulting influx of materials inspired then-duke of Thesion Fokspak Motart to express his thanks and his hope that the shipments of quarried stone blocks would continue to flood to his doorstep in song, by having his court bard Valko write the popular ballad "Rock me Amalaes", a firm favourite among the peasantry in the 180s AE.
