Winter Phase
The Winter Phase can also be called the Downtime Phase. Players gain XP for actions during the Summer Phase, and during the Winter, playings return to their households, freeholds and holdings, during which XP may be spent, marriages can be arranged, currency will be gained and spent, and households can be managed.
The Winter Phase is also when random events can happen, which vary widely and can effect many aspects of the Winter Phase.
