A young group, House Elisedd named for its founder and the father of the current head of the house. Count Elisedd was a renowned bard who traveled the length and breadth of Europa bringing joy to the heart of all and warmth to the bed of many a maiden along the way. Despite his proclivities, it was loyalty that ultimately spelled his end.

At length, he took a wife and swore an Oath of loyalty to her. The pair had a single child who had barely passed her own Chrysalis before her mother was abducted by one of Elisedd’s enemies. Lest he become an oathbreaker, the Count set off to free his wife. It is unknown precisely what transpired along the way, only that both were slain and Elisedd himself fell to a cold iron weapon.

With most of House Leanhaun fleeing to Arcadia, and amidst such tragedy, leadership of House Elisedd fell to the pair’s surviving daughter.

Distinction: The Bards are natural performers and love an audience. Provided they are participating in an intentional showcase of their talents, they cannot botch a Performance roll. They are as fallible as anyone else in extemporaneous performances, but practically cannot fail provided they have more than a moment to plan. Being caught by a fan on the street, or practicing in private are places where the Bard remains obviously mortal. Even so much planning as intentionally attending an open mic night or visiting a tavern with the intent of singing for their supper, some company, or a free drink are the kinds of circumstances where they can hardly fail.

Fault:  Like their namesake, the Bards experience great difficulty when it comes to traditional monogamy. They find it difficult to remain faithful to a single partner regardless of how strong their conviction. Additionally, they are additionally easy marks for seduction attempts. Anyone attempting to seduce a Bard enjoys a -1 difficulty modifier to associated rolls.
