Name: Mardock Tundo
Species: Krogan      Gender: Male      Age: 188
Languages: Common, Krogan, Asari, Turian

Character Description: Tired/Scarred/Rugged

Tundo of Clan Mardock stands over 7 feet tall like most Krogan, a more accurate measure being about 7'5" including his above-average hump. He has an overall Rugged look; leathery beige skin, Navy blue frontal plate that seemed to have been gouged a couple times from some impressive weaponry or claws, his tremendously barrel chest, as well as the way he carries himself. Underneath all his armor, his body is heavily Scarred from many many battles. Some look like claw marks from some huge beast, others from explosions and shrapnel, some from what had to have been huge blades judging from the Krogan skin's natural resistance to damage, and a few bullet holes as well.

His soft amber eyes, with their watchful look, normally show strength and compassion, while also showing that a long violent life has made him Tired at times. While still enjoying some parts of the Merc life, it is clear that Tundo does not miss the most violent and messiest parts of his past with the Bloodpack.

The Krogan keeps a relatively jovial personality hidden behind a fatherly (he would say Brotherly, but all these damn young races call him otherwise) front. He is an incorrigible braggart and tends to overindulge in intoxicants mostly alcohol but also human tobacco and the like. He also is an avid reader of fiction, poetry, and philosophy.

Origins

"I was born in the cesspool that is Tuchanka. Not much else to say about my home planet really. Constant war and bloodshed over females and trivial nonsense until Urdnaught Wrex came into power. Good thing too, as if made my home tolerable again."

"My parents were typical of my species. My mother felt blessed to have me after the genophage, and always said that I was incredibly strong because of it. My father was a true warrior for the Mardok clan, and died stupidly fighting another clan for their females. My mother still lives, and last I heard has given birth since the curing of the genophage."

"An ordinary life on Tuchanka is a hard life, at least compared to other species. All in all I had a normal krogan upbringing, though that's not saying much."

"I always hated my homeworld, always saw it as the cesspool it was. I wanted off planet baldy, so as soon as I could pull the trigger of a shotgun I signed up to join the Bloodpack. They trained me completely in the art of combat, but also how to maintain equipment and how to negotiate the Bloodpack way. One older warrior even taught me how to tweek certain weapons in order to output more force and damage. I got to see many worlds and meet such a variety of creatures and people, and I don't regret a single moment as a mercenary. The evils they have done were not my evils."

"Most of my current armament is from my old buddies who still live from those days. Anything else came from  my own funds or Mana's."

History

"I can't retire yet, far too young for that haha! So I require a paycheck, a large one like the one we were doing for the Broker. It was Mana's choice however, and I my allegiance is to her first. Don't get any funny ideas, we're not that way. She's a young thing, and is the first being to look up to me as an advisor. A fatherly figure she'd say, and nuts to that! I'm not that old! Bah!"

"I had been doing solo mercenary work for a while before joining up with this crew. Traveling with Mana since the Reapers were defeated. Had left the Bloodpack a few years before the whole Reaper thing happened, joined the fray in the end under Urdnaught Wrex. So no real affiliation other than Mana's crew, and they all work for the Broker. Not that there is a Bloodpack to keep tabs on anymore anyway. I do still have connections with some of my old buddies, and sometimes it comes in handy."

"When Mana and Alice just up and left us all so suddenly it was a huge kick to the quads, let me tell you. After all the years she and I had together, had each other's backs, we were like true family. At least I thought we were, but I guess she felt otherwise. The old man's a burden, can't bring him along on the adventure to end the threat. No, let him be a babysitter for a human he never met. That's what loyalty got me."

Motivations

"Again, to help you get the picture. Money, cash, funds. I eat a lot of food and drink a lot of Ryncol. I also need to expand my novel collection, and some of those are pricey. Especially the physical copies."

"Believe those who are seeking the truth; doubt those who find it. I care about all truths, and enjoy seeking them out. I also care about the well being of my companions and crewmates, especially Mana. The girl needs watching sometimes, or she's liable to hurt herself. It's what makes her leaving so hard, the fact I care about that little blue drek."

"I almost died for the galaxy, is that enough for you and your pestering questions? No? Ugh fine. Even with all my grumbling, and the pain she gave me, I would still die for Mana if it was required. I'd do the same for Anaia without hesitation, and even young Liz. Part of my job is to make sure such situations are not necessary. I would take a bullet for any one of my crewmates,  but one bullet isn't going to stop me cold...heh heh."

"You...really try to dig deep don't you? Bastard...alright you want to know my secret pain? The reason I have an issue with intoxicants? Fine, but this does not leave this room. When I was young and part of the Bloodpack we had a job where we were to retrieve a box. Not told what was inside, simply retrieve a box from armed guards.

Deadly resistance was expected and so we were given leave to use as much force as needed to get it done. We hit heavy fire when we arrived, Eclipse mercenaries. Salarian techies and Asari commandos all over, of course with humans mixed in. It was a hard fight, but finally we made it to the building that stored the box. It was a huge box, and it was going to be damn near impossible to get it out with more Eclipse out there.

The building however wasn't empty, as it turned out the Eclipse were hiding out with this thing in a refugee camp. There was a family of Asari there, who we took hostage. Our leader promised them that no harm would come to them. He questioned them about other refugees, and they told him without question.

Finding out that there was another building within sight full of refugees, most of them Asari, he ordered me to fire my missile launcher at the building. It would give the Eclipse something more important to deal with while me made our escape with the box. I did it, knowing full well some lives may have been lost in the action...and it worked. for their cooperation our leader gave the traumatized family the best reward he would grant, a swift death......that is why.

Was it what you were hoping for?"
