Nadia Demetrova
5'1" Silver hair, violet eyes, pale skin.
Nadia and her twin brother Petr were raised on an isolated farm by their grandparents.

A lynch mob had killed Their mother and father for their marriage. Their mother was human and their father a vampire. Unlike most interspecies unions it was a marriage of love. The anti-vampire sentiment was high, and when the village was set upon by a band of vampire raiders, the people turned their ire against the nearest target. The pair had only enough time to bundle their newborn twins into a secret nook in their home before being dragged to the hanging tree. Most babes would have perished long before Nadia and Petr were found at the end of three long days. A sympathetic nun brought them in secret to their mother’s parents home many miles from the village.

The twins upbringing instilled in them a natural wariness and mistrust of strangers. Whenever someone visited the farm, their grandmother would hide them away in the root cellar until their grandfather could shoo away the outsider. The two had only each other. With no other children to play with they formed an inseparable bond. Nothing could tear the twins apart.

When their grandparents passed within months of each other Nadia and Petr were left wondering how they would get along. The nun who brought them to the farm helped them arrange its sale. They used the proceeds to set themselves up in the city. Nadia's natural curiosity and quick mind led her to apprentice to a local alchemist. Petr used his strength to work on the docks earning the gold to put food on their table.

About three years ago, Nadia fell ill and confined to her bed for several weeks. Petr struggled to afford both food and medicine and Nadia could tell that he was becoming more desperate. One night Petr said to her that he had picked up an extra shift unloading a late arrival. He never returned. With fear for her brother as motivation, Nadia recovered from her illness and set about uncovering what happened to Petr. The most she could ever find out was that he had accepted work from a shady group with ties to the underworld.

By the end of a month her money ran out, and Nadia was forced to look for work. Hoping to be able to earn some cash while also continuing her search, Nadia took on bounties from the local sheriff. Her deductive reasoning skills and excellent memory helped her excel as a bounty hunter.

She continues her search for Petr between jobs, but despair is beginning to set in. Nadia is starting to come to terms with the fact she may never see her brother again.
