Jørën Harkerson is someone along the lines of a distant descendant of a well-known vampire hunter, so distant that he was unaware of it until a guild of hunters approached him and started training him to kill them.
Being gruff and intimidating he lived in a small village and barely spoke to anyone there, but he discovered his people in the guild and opened up a bit more. Learned fast but insists on carrying around this giant war-axe he found at the guild that was too big for other hunters to want to use.
