Background:
Before the invasion, Jean was a member of DGSE (Direction générale de la sécurité extérieure, France's external intelligence agency), working in their cyber division. This put him in a very good position to be suspicious of Malroux 'miracle' and he moved early into 'le resistance'. The habits of a spy serve him well in avoiding retaliation via the God-net and he survives yet. At base a couch-potato computer nerd, a few months in the field have started to reduce the swivel-chair spread and he does have the benefit of very good training.
