Spontaneously created in the 6th age, Oni are ascended mortal giants trapped on the Material Plane. It is unknown why these souls did not become Titans, but it is considered a quirk of their primordial nature by most. Some Titans suspect Ashan is deliberately keeping their numbers small, resulting in the Oni. Regardless of the reason, the Oni are among the most powerful beings on Tolomar, and their desire to dominate parts of it has led to some of the largest conflicts in mortal history.
