Created in the 1st age by the Maelstrom, Genies were the first species to break the cycle of spontaneous creation and dissolution that was the fate of all life until that point. Given the title the Architects of the Gods, the genie have used their power to shape the universe to their design, though they are limited to working through the wishes of others.
