In RAW the presumed definition for fey might currently be “those little tricksters from European folklore.”  That's NOT what you'll find here.

First and foremost, it’s important to acknowledge that the fae are different from mortality. They don’t think in the same manner that as we do. Theirs is not always a morality that we can understand. They are more than the chaotic tricksters of legend and less than those creatures bound by their associated demi-plane's rules. Fae are complicated. There is just as much variety in their personalities from individual to individual as there is in humans - perhaps more.
Some are utterly alien to us.

And in that way, odd as it may sound, any given faery tale shares more with the cosmic horror of HP Lovecraft, than any morality play of your average Outsider. Outsiders, in this game, are defined by ideals: Rational ideologies regarding Good and Evil, Chaos and Law. The Fae are often not rational as we cognate and they are typically viewed as completely amoral creatures. Lovecraftian horror was always about humanity's insignificance in the face of uncaring, alien intelligences.
