Vera Gemini is a slender woman, apparently in her late twenties, with long, dark hair and a perpetually cold, judgmental look upon her face, noticeable in undertone even when she's trying to present a warm or friendly persona. She wears a simple pair of eyeglasses, and her attire, when not imprisoned, tends toward earth-tones and simple, no-frills dresses that make her look rather like a librarian, but a librarian with a penchant for high-class clothing from designers with European names.

Vera is also known by her birth name, Valeria Geminitus Byzantina, though she goes by Vera these days for the most part. From what she's said and what has been observed, she seems to be a Byzantine sorceress rendered immortal through alchemy, a process also used on her sister, Octavia. Until the Godfall event, Vera and Octavia fought a shadowy cold war against each other for centuries, Vera trying to rebuild the Roman Empire, with her at its head, and Octavia attempting to stop Vera and exact vengeance for forcing immortality on Octavia.

Octavia and a band of mystically-inclined allies managed to interrupt Vera's attempt to capitalize on the Godfall event, and Vera has been locked up in highest security prisons ever since.
