LOCATIONS

Ember:  Ember is a little-known planet in one of the less-explored part of the Galaxy.  Even less known is the fact that Ember is a living planet.  Well, more accurately, the planet's biomass is sentient and strong with the Force.  Ember Themself is perhaps the strongest Jedi ever know but its living cells die rapidly when removed from the rest of Them on the planet named for Them so Ember only has power over the space near it.  Ember was a safe place as any Imperial force that could even remotely threaten Ember would be in the range of Ember's considerable Force powers.  But with the creation of the Death Star, Ember can be destroyed from a distance greater than the range of Their Force powers (particularly if the Death Star is 'shielded' by a powerful Sith Lord such as Vader or the Emperor.

Nexus Point:  The local Nexus Point is really just a point in deep space.  It is the average center of most hyperdrive routes in the area (at least as easily as hyperspace math can be explained).

Oasis:  Oasis is a tourist trap, a pleasure planet in Alliance Space.  It is one of the few places where Rebels can live openly.  The Alliance does have a few planets in open rebellion to the Empire with stable governments.  The reason why this can happen is that some planets are just not worth the resources to conquer.  They have no strategic value.  Oasis will be one of the last targets to fall before Imperial victory but it will fall unless the Rebellion is successful.  Until then, it is one planet-wide party until the downfall.

Pebble:  Pebble is a Rebel base on a small asteroid.  It will be the center of this game for a time.  Unlike most locations in the Star Wars Universe, Pebble is quite mundane and boring.  This is because it is meant to be the neutral center of the game.  If there is a bright center to the Galaxy, the PCs need to go find it...

Pebble is a very common asteroid.  It does have a kind of mineral structure that makes it very easy to tunnel into.  Most of Pebble has deck plating and gravity but a lot of the rock is simply pressurized, without light or gravity.  Pebble's many craters have been built into hangers and docks.

It may seem that naming the base Pebble gives a clue to the Empire to the base's nature but there are literally quadrillions of asteroids in the great big Galaxy...
