Tieflings are a direct result of the demonic invasion of Lorwyn. Invading demons who aren't slain quickly spread across the land and rarely reign in their baser instincts. As a result many a raped and tormented maiden have given birth to red skinned, horned infants. Due to their lineage most Tiefling met with fear, mistrust and outright disgust, especially from those who have lost family or loved ones to the demonic invasion.
