Adakar
Adakar has been a barbaric land of roving, warring tribes for centuries. Only recenty a mighty barbarian leader has united all of the despondent clans into a fledgling empire ruled by might and fear.

Alara
A small Oligarchy state known the world over for it's wealth and banks. In many areas of the world gold is refered to as Alarian Steel, as the kingdom is well known for using it's wealth and power to influence world events. Alara is the capital of the Kher Alliance.

Avacyn
Avacyn started life as a colony of Zendikar but now is a vital part of Zendikari society. Avacyn is a near total agrarian society, providing over 80% of Zendikar's food supply in return for what little industrialization and defense the kingdom requires.

Innistrad
Innistrad is the only member of the Kher Alliance that has ever lobbied for succession. The noble class seeks to separate themselves and return to "more traditional Innistradi culture". Do to overwhelming outcry from it's lower class, who suffered greatly under the pre-alliance regime, the other member states have taken measures to keep Innistrad in the fold.

Kalayan
Kalayan is the island group nation of the Elvan empire. The elvan empire is divided into two groups, the Seelie are an outgoing people who seek peace and trade with foreign nations while the Unseelie are a xenophobic sect that advocates cutting the empire off from the rest of the world to preserve the elvan culture. Currently the nation is ruled by a Seelie Emperess.

Kamigawa
Little is known of Kamigawa, as the xenophobic nation was only fully mapped a half decade ago. The small but fierce nation has proven hostile to nearly all outsiders with only a select few having gained access to the island nation. It is well known that Kamigawa has repelled three Zendikari invasions despite severe manpower and technological disadvantages.

Lorwyn
Lorwyn is a totalitarian Theocracy held under the rule of the Church of the One True God, a minor religion that has gained little traction outside the kingdom's borders. Member of the Kher Alliance.

Mirrodin
Mirrodin is the home nation of the dwarven empire. Dwarves are known far and wide as artisianl craftsman of everything from simple stonework to the finest jewelry. Dwarves tend to place as much craftsmanship on the art of war as they do any other. These aspects make them a driving force of the  Kher Alliance.

Nestora
Centuries ago Nestora was a colony of the elvan empire. The history of Nestora is a mystery, as the peoples of the Elvan colony simply vanished without trace. In the years following the disappearance additional expeditions were sent to investigate but only a handful of individuals have ever returned, most of them driven mad by whatever they witnessed. The Kalayan navy has established a permanent blockade to prevent as many fool-hearty expeditions and treasure seeking as they can.

Nimoth
Member of the Kher Alliance. Nimoth is a kingdom currently under siege by the forces of the abyssal chaos. All manner of devils and abominations pour from randomly appearing Demongates to wreak havoc on the countryside before they can be put down. These gates rarely stay open long but the denizens of the abyss often prove hard to kill and cause incalculable damage. A large majority f the Kher Alliance's military might is focused on stemming the tide of horror pouring into Nimoth on a daily basis.

Nyx
Nyx is a kingdom ruled by a powerful Coven of witches and is home to one of the most exstinsive libraries of magical knowledge ever assembled. The citizens of Nyx live a prodomanently peaceful life despite the constant threat of thier neighbor nation, the Orc kingdom of Theros. This is due to an enchanted forest, the Thornwood, that seperates the two nations and holds back the tides of the Orc Hoardes.

Phyrexia
Phyrexia is a desert land of Pharaohs and ancient artifacts. Many of these artifacts seem to predate even the Saurian empire. Phyrexia has become home of the College of historical studies dedicated to finding and studying the vast number of artifacts. Phyrexia is a member of the Kher Alliance.

Ravnica
A relativly peaceful kingdom with a rich and long history. The universities of Ravnica are a driving force behind arcane advancement. Ravnica's southern border has recently come under siege from their only land neighbor, Zendikar.

Innskeep

Tarkir
Tarkir holds the bulk of the military might of the Kher Alliance. A thriving kingdom with a national religion that venerates the goddess of fertility, they are the population center of all of Thune and possesses the world's largest standing army. At the moment, the largest part of that army is committed to defending their ally and close neighbor Lorwyn from demonic occupation.

Theros
Theros is a nation ruled by hundreds of warring orc tribes. Occasionally a powerful Chieftian will rise to power and unite a number of clans under his banner, but more often than not the fledgling nation is laid low by infighting, slave rebellions or the fallout from some powerful arcane artifact dug from the earth by an orc who let his curiosity get the better of him.

Valkana
Valkana was once the seat of a vast Saurian empire that spread far and wide across the face of Thune. That empire fell into decline more than six centuries ago, it's vast accomplishments now remembered only by history and the Saurain people. Valkanan is a member in good standing of the Kher Alliance.

Zendikar
Zendikar is a zenophobic Stratocracy where the Zendikar military rules every aspect of it's citizens lives. Zendikar, for some as of yet unknown reason, has always lacked arcane power. They have compensated for this with advanced military technology including devistating, steam-driven warmachines known as War jacks.
