395 Death of Theodosius I, also called Theodosius the Great, was a Roman emperor from 379 to 395. During his reign, he succeeded in a crucial war against the Goths, as well as in two civil wars, and was instrumental in establishing the creed of Nicaea as the orthodox doctrine for Christianity. Theodosius was the last emperor to rule the entire Roman Empire before its administration was permanently split between the West and East.
407 Rise of general Constantinius III as usurper of the western roman empire and king of the britons. Constantinius III has to deal with bloody peasant rebellions and uprising among nobles who refuse to accept a roman king.
408 The romans begin to retreat from the west, allowing other kingdoms such as Powys, Gwynned and Ceredigionus to be established to fill up the power vacuum. Cunedda ap Edern migrates from Caledonia with his children and establishes the kingdom of Gwynedd.
410 British roman legions follow Constantinius III to Gaul to fight the vandals. Only a small group of legionnaires remains.
411 Execution of Emperor Constantinius III in southern Gaul.
412 King Constans establishes kingdom of Dumnonia after the battle at Waddon Hill against local tribal leaders.
412-421 Regency of Albus, former seneschal of Constantinius III. Also known as the usurper king. Albus throne is seated in Camulodunum. Albus' rule is marked by revolts and the rise of new kingdoms as news of Constantinius' death reach the britons.
412-428 Rule of king Constans of Dumnonia, first son of emperor Constantinius III. His rulership is marred by several wars with briton nobles who refuse to bow to a roman king.
413 Kingdom of Powys established under the rule of king Vortigern Britu, who was heir to Magnus Maximus, former emperor of Britain and Gaul by marriage until Maximus was executed.
414 Kingdom of Ceredigion established under Cunneda's son king Ceredig. War against irish settlers in Demetia.
415 Civil revolt against high king Albus begins.
416 Saxon mercenaries are invited by Vortigern Britu to fight high king Albus.
418-421 An alliance between Vortigern Britu and king Constans and with the aid of saxon mercenaries civil war against the armies of high king Albus spreads across the island.
421 Death of Albus at Camulodunum at the hands of Constantinius III's two sons. Constans is crowned king of britons but only finds support among the roman-briton nobles in Britannia Primus.
422 The sacking of Camulodunun by saxon mercenaries who were in employ of Albus until his death. Only few make it out of the city alive. Those who do tell that the ghost of Boudica ran them out of the city with her spectral army.
426 Death of king Constans, first son of Constantinius III battling irish settlers north of Dumnonia.
426-432 Rule of king Ambrosius Aurelius, second son of Constantine III.
429 Ambrosius Aurelius gains popularity when he turns the tide against the irish kingdoms, uniting the last remnants of the roman legions in Britannia.
429 Archbishop Germanus of Autissiodorum travels to Britain.
429 Birth of Morgause, daughter of Gwrlais and Eigyr of Tre war Venydh.
430 War between Uthyr Bendragon and Gwrlais of Cornubia. After Gwrlois is slain with the aid of celtic priest Myrdinn Wyllt of Glastenning Uthyr marries Gwrlois' wife and takes his castle on the rock. Subjugation of Cornubia under Dumnonian rule.
432 Death of king Ambrosius Aurelius at the hands of Vortigern Britu of Powys.
432 Birth of Artorius Aurelius, son of Uthyr and Eigyr.
432-444 Rule of king Uthyr Bendragon, celtic cousin of Ambrosius Aurelius. During his reign Dumnonia regularly clashes with the kingdom of Powys over border conflicts.
440 Crowning of Vortigern Britu as high king of the britons.
441-442 Battle at Aquae Sulis against invading Saxons.
443 Caer Badan is settled on as a border region to keep the kingdoms of Powys and Dumnonia separated after the battle of Aquae Sulis.
443 Establishment of the sub-kingdom of Glastenning in exchange for protection against Caer Badan.
435-437War breaks out between the Irish settlers in Brycheiniog and Powys. King Brychan converts to christianity.
437 Irish chieftain, Triffyn Farfog takes the Kingdom of Demetia by marrying the daughter of King Clotri uniting the irish tribes. He converts to christianity at the behest of king Brychan to avoid war with the kingdom of Brycheiniog.
440 King Glywys establishes kingdom of Glywysing, fighting back the irish invaders with the support of Uthyr Bendragon.
444 Death of Uthyr Bendragon. Rumors persist of Uthyr's family having survived the assassination but no one claims the crown.
445 After the war a mysterious warlord named Blaiddyd and his army settle in Caer Badan. Travelers avoid Caer Badan, fearing the army of king Blaiddyd, said to be assisted by demonic magic. While the exact nature of Blaiddyd is not known stories abound of the dead soldiers of Caer Badan patrolling their homeland.
445 War breaks out between the kingdoms of Ceredigion and Demetae. Gwynned comes to the aid of Ceredigion.
446 Archbishop Germanus of Autissiodorum converts Vortigern Britu to christianity and helps establish the sub kingdom of Caer Gloui, ruled by king Vortimer, son of Britu. Germanus becomes Vortimer's advisor. In exchange his followers protect the kingdom against the forces marshalled by Caer Badan.
447 Vortigern Britu establishes his son Guortepir to oversee Dumnonia. He is not supported by local nobles and constantly struggles to retain control over Dumnonia. To contiue fighting the rebels he invites saxon mercenaries to fight his battles.
447 In exchange for crossing his lands Vortigern Britu assists a local tribesman Ganticus to consolidate his kingship of the region christened Caer Gwinntguic after conquering the eastern part of the kingdom of Dumnonia. From there Powys warriors and saxon mercenaries invade Dumnonia.
448 The Fairy Revolt. In answer to christians attacking fairy freeholds the Fae make a final stand against the Messianic Voices in Powys. Archbishop Germanus assists the Powys armies in routing the army of king Oberon.
448 Glastening still enjoys self rule at the moment but its leaders are aware of their precarious situation, stuck between its enemies. Its power is still respected by the king of Powys. His son Guortepir believes breaking the resistance of the Dumnonii warriors lies in defeating Glasten.
448 Vectus isle declares independance from Caer Gwynntguic. The  temple of Mercurius is said to have protected the island since the legions left. The sorcerors of Vectus allow none who have not been invited.
