The M16A4 is the fourth generation of the M16 series. It is equipped with a removable carrying handle and a full length quad Picatinny rail for mounting optics and other ancillary devices. It was the standard issue assault rifle for the United States Marine Corps at the time of the War. It is chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO and uses STANAG magazines, allowing it to accept a wide range of magazine sizes, though the Morrow Project M16A4 comes standard with 30-round box magazines.
